Well the first official weekend has come and gone, and everything seemed to go quite well. John took a brief holiday in Austria, so it  was down to me and Ben

The supposedly quiet months of winter are coming to an end, and we poke our heads out of  our burrows to contemplate the start of a new season.

 

We could not be more enthusiastic about 2012. Technical problems are keeping us away. Is leisure an aspiration or a need and do we want holidays that occupy us. I vote yes and apparently so do lots of other people. Some of us could go to the Seychelles and most of us could aspire, but all of us just like building a camp and a camp fire and where better to do it than Forgewood.

I have taken the slaps around the face from the disappointed campers at Forgewood last year and I am hoping that I won't be

Well, the weather outside is freezing, but it's warm inside the Barn. We are keeping the Barn open during the winter months, and are serving a mixture of hearty breakfasts and fine dining to an increasing number of local connoisseurs. The Barn even has it's own website at forgewoodbarn.co.uk where you can check out what's on offer.

As the old joke used to go in London. "You know that restaurant that's quite reasonable, serves good food and has a table available? Well, it doesn't exist" It may not do
